The Magic and Masterful Music of Ric Flauding

Composer-Guitarist Ric Flauding's music features classical guitar with various ensembles. Ric Flauding calls his style "acoustic, melodic new age" which colorfully blends influences from many sources. Jazz, Celtic, Latin, Folk, Cinematic Symphonic, Worldbeat and Classical all find their way into his work. Ric Flaudings goal is to paint emotion picture sounding his love for God, people, nature, travel, serenity and simplicity.  

Composer-Guitarist Ric Flauding has several instrumental albums on various record labels.  Aside from his own releases he has worked on over 200 recordings including  the London Symphony Orchestra, Brentwood Records, Integrity Music, Spindletop Records, Invincible Records, Maranatha Music, Dr. John Gray ("Men Are From Mars..."), and has been on CDs with David Benoit, Jim Brickman, Lorie Line, Danny Wright, John Patitucci, Abe Laborial, Alex Acuna, Justo Almario, Brandon Fields, Frank Gambale and many others.

Ric's albums have charted Gavin, R&R, MacJazz, and New Horizons receiving airplay worldwide and earning him several awards from ASCAP, Billboard Magazine, American Song Festival, Ace Award.  As a performer Ric has shared the stage with Bob James, Richard Elliot and Rick Braun. 

Recent work has included guitar consulting and performing for Dave Mustaine on the new Megadeth album, being a featured artist on Native American Indian percussionist Tony Redhouses "Soul Blessings" CD, his music featured in "One Life To Live" and "All My Children" and performing in Arizona and California with various orchestral ensembles and Ric's acoustic guitar trio "Triptych". 

Ric was a student of jazz guitar legend Barney Kessel and Flamenco guitarist Ted McKown and studied composition and orchestration with many known teachers including Dr. Albert Harris a composer of works recorded by Andres Segovia. 

Ric's most recent recordings include "Escape", a Worldbeat collection with guest artists including Jeff Kashiwa and "Jazz Passages" featuring guest artists Eric Marienthal, Russell Ferrante, Paulinho Da Costa, Carlos Vega, Michael Landau, Jimmy Earl, Greg Vail, Dave Hooper, and others.
